There is a place in the Valley, not far from the hospital of Ramponio/Verna, the innhabitants call Pietra Fessa - literally Crazy Stone.
There, in the XIX Century, in fact, someone thought the stone from the hill was tough enough to build houses. Unfortunately, it did not prove to be true, since the stone was too friable despite of what it seemed to be at the beginning and the houses crashed. Today, nothing remains to testify the quarry but some holes here and there.

Great cheese and salami can be bought from the local farmers. When you see the sign, just enter. Someone will soon come.
